Do I need an appointment?
Preferred, not required. Walk-ins are welcome but scheduled clients are seen first, and a proper consultation takes around 45 minutes. Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and we’ll set time aside and pull cloth before you arrive.
How long does a suit take to make?
Allow five to six days and two fittings. We can go faster in many cases, but the timeline may determine the construction options available to you for your suit. If your timeline is tight, tell us the date first and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can do it properly.
How long does a shirt take to make?
Allow three to four days including a fitting for your first shirt.
What fabrics do you use?
Suiting starts at good wool blends with a high wool content and runs up through pure wool, fine Italian wool and cashmere. Linen for the heat, and cotton for lighter jackets. Shirting is cotton with various options available, along with Irish linen. We don’t make suits from pure synthetics.
What construction do you offer?
Half-canvassed, fully-canvassed, and fused for rush orders based on client requests. Most clients choose half-canvassed. We are happy to recommend based on how you’ll wear the suit, and the construction you choose is agreed with you so you can always know exactly what you’re getting.
Can you make a suit in one day?
We’d rather not, and here’s the honest reason: a jacket made that fast has to be fused rather than canvassed, and it behaves differently over time. If you fly tomorrow and there’s genuinely no alternative, tell us and we’ll be straight about what you’re getting. If you can allow four or five days, we’d much rather use them.
Can I order from abroad without visiting?
Yes.
If we have your pattern from a previous visit, message us a cloth choice and we’ll make it and ship it.
If we’ve never measured you, either wait for a trunk show in your city or contact us to discuss your measurements, and how the process will work in your particular case.
Do you keep my measurements?
Yes, we keep your measurements for around five years.
Do you make women’s clothing?
Yes. Suits, jackets and dresses, cut from a women’s block rather than a resized men’s pattern.
How long have you been open?
Since 1972. Founded by Mr. Jagjit Singh Kukreja and now run by the third generation of the same family.
